The West Virginia Association of Rehabilitation Facilities is an association with two distinct missions.
One side of WV-ARF is an association consisting of a membership of 30-plus Community Rehabilitation Programs (CRPs) throughout the state. WV-ARF offers its members:
-
Monthly training opportunities
-
A library of resources
-
Networking
-
Advocacy
-
Encouragement to achieve and maintain high ethical standards
-
Development of innovative services and programs
The other mission of WV-ARF is to act as the Central Nonprofit Agency that manages the State Use Program. West Virginia's State Use Program was created by the legislature in 1984 and allows CRPs to provide products and services to various state agencies without the requirement of competitive bidding. Prices charged for these products and services are established by a governor-appointed committee.
All West Virginians benefit when our citizens with disabilities are able to work for a wage. Their need to consume costly social services is drastically reduced when rehabilitation is mixed with business.
