The Committee for the Purchase of
Commodities and Services from the Handicapped
Appointed by the Governor, the committee oversees and monitors the activities of the Central Nonprofit Agency (CNA) which administers the State Use Program. The CNA is approved by the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS). Currently appointed as the Central Nonprofit Agency is the West Virginia Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc. (WV ARF).
The Committee is responsible for:

Setting the Fair Market Price of commodities and services offered under the program

Establishing the Procurement List (Statewide Contract Covering Mandated Services)
- Monitoring the CNA to assure the interest of individuals with disabilities is advanced within the confines of the State Use Program

Monitoring the CNA to assure that the commodities and services produced meet state specifications and standards of quality

Resolving grievances related to the program

Reporting to the Legislature the status of the program
The Committee is comprised of one representative from each of these areas: business, labor, producing community rehabilitation program, private citizen, DRS, and the Department of Administration.
